Bringing the alternative underground to Santa Cruz, Ladders is an experimental post-punk band that creates a sound that is equal parts raw and nuanced- blending angular guitar riffs, weaving sax lines, tight rhythms, and basslines that would make Mike Watt proud. With a focus on diverse arrangements and dynamic live performances, Ladders has quickly become known for capturing the energy and intensity of their musical influences while still forging their own path with a unique and inventive approach and a truly unique and eclectic sound.

We first stumbled upon Mom Cars ripping a great set at one of the first Santa Cruz house shows we ever attended. Since then, they’ve torn up FTY shows everywhere, even headlining the first FTY tour! Mom Cars play some tracks off their newest album, “Colder” and are interviewed by Trevor Castillo in our first ever At The Moment episode!
